Archiving
| SpoolOrganizer archiving commands support the concept of an ARCFILE, which is a physical file member which can hold the contents of an archive run. It is similar in concept to an OS/400 save file. Using an ARCFILE SpoolOrganizer can archive spool entries even though no tape device or optical is available (or can run unattended at night) then move the contents of the ARCFILE to tape or optical at a later time. The ARCARCFDTA and OPTARCFDTA commands move the contents of an ARCFILE to tape and optical. |
